With new Spooks books and DVD boxsets being released, we thought a few helpful links should be posted to help you browse through all the Rupert goodies available in the UK. Some of the following may not yet have been released but are available to pre-order.


Spooks Series 4 DVD
Release date for the most recent Spooks series is the 4th September. Don't miss out!


"Spooks": The Personnel Files Book
Contains very detailed profiles of Harry, Adam, Ruth, Zaf, Malcolm, Tom, Zoe and Danny. Info on the characters include MI-5 training, personal stats and histories.


"Spooks": Behind the Scenes Book

>> Rupert Starring in new Adaptation of Jane Austen's Persuasion

Rupert has now started filming ITV's adaptation of Jane Austen's novel Persuasion. He is playing the part of Captain Wentworth, which is the lead male role. Co-stars will be Sally Hawkins as Anne Elliott and Anthony Head as Anne's father Sir Walter. Persuasion is filming in the area of Bath/Somerset. It is due to air in the UK in March of 2007 as part of ITV's Jane Austen Season and it also can be seen in Nov. 2007 in the U.S. on PBS.




>> New Spooks Series 5 Press Pack released by the BBC on August 22nd

Finally! Spooks will be back in September! The BBC have also announced an official airdate and their Spooks Website has been updated. Episodes 1 and 2 of Spooks will be televised on Sep.16th and 17th at 9:00PM on BBC1. The Press Pack does contain some spoilers as well as excellent interviews with the main cast members. Check out the Press Pack here!



>> Spooks filming Series Finale in Basildon

On July 17th, the crew and some of the cast of Spooks (incl. Rupert and Hermione Norris) filmed the final scenes of the upcoming Spooks Series 5 in an underwater tank in Basildon/Essex. Thanks to one of our valued forum members, we got a hold of a newspaper article with pictures. Have a look in our gallery here!



>> The Last Days of Krakatoa

The BBC docu-drama Krakatoa is due to air in the USA on June 11, 2006 at 9pm ET on the Discovery Channel. Rupert plays the lead in the explosive drama following the eruption of the volcano in 1883, filmed in South Africa and Madagascar last autumn. Krakatoa will also be televised in Germany and France. Check your local channel listings for dates and times.

>> It's A Boy!

Rupert and Dervla have welcomed a second child into the family. Dervla gave birth to a little boy named Peter on Saturday the 8th of April 2006. He was named after both Rupert and Dervla's fathers.

>> Spooks Series 4 DVD

The preliminary cover for the Series 4 DVD pack has been released and features Rupert center stage. Click here to have a look.

The UK release date of the DVD is Sep.4th, 2006, but may be subject to change. Keep checking back for updates.




>> Derren Brown: The Gathering

Last May (2005) Rupert and Spooks co-star Raza Jaffrey attended Derren Brown's 'The Gathering'. Shown briefly in the opening credits and occasionally in the audience, we captured as many screencaps as we could. Check them out here!



>> Krakatoa
Krakatoa is one in a series on 'surviving disasters' docu-dramas put together by the BBC. They had an entire team of pyrotechnics and an SFX crew working on it in South Africa from Agog so it looks like explosive stuff.


>> Spooks Series 5
The 4th series of Spooks has ended in a dramatic cliffhanger and unfortunately we'll  have to wait until later this year to find out what happens, when Spooks returns for a 5th series.
Series 5 is due to commence filming week beg. Mon 16th Jan.

>> Match Point
The eagerly anticipated Woody Allen feature film is now in cinemas! Rupert has a small part consisting of about 8 minutes total screentime but its definitly worth a look. Screencaps available here.
